Here is a short list of plants that will thrive in dry areas and for the most part are ideal plants to begin a garden. They require minimal maintenance but look wonderful in that dry garden bed. I suggest Calendula, Gaillardia 'Goblin', Roses, Sedum, Achillea 'Cerise Queen', Artemisia 'Silver Mound', Alyssum, Lamium, Stachys byzantina 'Lamb's-ear' and Oenothera 'Evening Primrose'. |
