Tulipa - Tulip
Tulips range in size from four inches to thirty inches. Tulips thrive in full sun and require well drained soil. Tulip colors range from white to almost black. Tulips may be a single color, two toned, blended, feathered, streaked and some contain patterns. Plant your Tulip bulbs in the fall. The image below depicts a beautiful Tulip in my side garden which is classified as a Parrot Tulip.
Tulips are split into divisions as follows; Single Early Tulips, Double Early Tulips, Triumph Tulips, Darwin Hybrid Tulips, Single Late Tulips, Lily Flowered Tulips, Fringed Tulips, Viridiflora Tulips, Parrot Tulips, Rembrandt Tulips, Double Late Tulips, Botanical Tulips which include Kaufmanniana, Fosteriana and Greigii. The image below from my back garden is a Fringed Tulip.
The Tulips at Osgoode Hall are breathtaking every spring. Thousands of Tulips surround the grounds of Osgoode Hall creating a dazzling array of color and beauty. I photographed the building with the Tulips in bloom. Set time aside for a walking tour of Osgoode Hall in spring to behold the overwhelming floral display.
